Ag Community Relief Presents Virtual Livestock
Auction opportunities for 4-H and FFA Members! 

Calling all 4-H and FFA members and parents! Are you a resident of Illinois, Kansas, Michigan or Missouri? Has your county or state fair been canceled due to the recent restrictions amid COVID-19? You’ve come to the right place!  Ag Community Relief in partnership with DVAuction is thrilled to offer a solution. We invite you to participate in Ag Community Relief’s Junior Auction Virtual Event. We will be backing and facilitating timed auctions for MO, IL, MI and KS. So how does this all work? It’s easy! Simply follow the steps outlined in our Sellers Guide which is linked below and encourage your prospective buyers to visit this page to learn how they can participate in bidding by referencing the Buyer Registration Guide below. But before we get to the guides check out some general event information! 

 

EVENT INFORMATION

We will be kicking things off with our Missouri and Illinois auctions, followed by Michigan and then Kansas. All auctions will be hosted on DVAuction.com. Each auction will be a timed auction and held virtually over a two-week period. Auction dates and times are listed below. Auctions are open to youth in MO, IL, MI and KS. The auctions will focus on the following animals - Cattle, Sheep and Swine. 

 

AUCTION DATES + TIMES 

Missouri: July 18 – August 1 

Illinois: July 18 – August 1

Michigan: July 25 – August 8

Kansas: August 1-August 15 

*Bidding for all auctions will open at 10:00 AM CDT on its respective start date and close at 7:00 PM CDT on the final day of the auction. Auction start and ends dates are indicated above. *

 

ENTRY COST FOR SELLERS 

There will be a small $20 lot fee per animal which will be deducted from final sale checks. 

 

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation of all livestock purchases are to be coordinated amongst the seller/seller’s legal guardian and the buyer. 

 

SELLERS OVERVIEW +  GUIDE - Our complete ‘Sellers Guide’ can be found HERE. The guide contains step by step instructions for registering yourself and your livestock for your state’s respective auction. 

 

Sellers Overview: 

  • Auctions will be broken out by state and will focus on large livestock only—cattle, sheep and swine. 

  • If you are under the age of 16 you MUST have permission from your parent(s) or legal guardian. A consent form will be provided within the Seller's Registration Form as part of Step #2 in the 'Sellers Guide' which is linked above and below 

  • In order to be able to make the transaction amount between buyer and seller all lots will open at a set total dollar amount. 

    • $1000 per calf

    • $250 per pig 

    • $150 per sheep 

  • Again, to register please access the ‘Sellers Guide’ HERE and follow the step by step instructions. 

 

*Want to sell but don’t see your state listed above? Simply email agcommunityrelief@gmail.com with the subject line: ‘Auction Interest for [STATE ABBREVIATION]’. Please note we are not guaranteeing that additional state auctions will be added at this time however we will assess opportunities based on the amount of interest garnered from respective states.” 

 

 

 

BUYER REGISTRATION GUIDE 

Step #1 - Create an account at DVAuction.com under the “create new account” tab. 

Step #2 - Apply for bidding by clicking “apply for bidding” in the upper left corner of your screen, at least 24 hours prior to the auction. 

Step #3 - Tune into the sale and make your purchases. 

 

DONATION & SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

If you are not interested in being a buyer, you can still help support these hard-working youth by becoming a sponsor or simply donating. Funds raised toward this effort help cover lot fees, potentially boost prices, adding more states and support future projects through the Ag Community Relief scholarship program. 

 

Sponsorship Levels 

Gold - $1,000 

  • How it helps...As a gold sponsor you will help cover the cost of an entire state's respective auction, which will support a currently scheduled state auction and/or possibly be used to add another state to the auction schedule. 

  • As a thanks to you... As a thanks for being a gold sponsor we will feature you on a respective states auction page at DVAuction.com, we will also feature your name and/or business name and the logo of your choice on our website as well as on our Twitter and Facebook pages. 

 

Silver - $500 

  • How it helps...As a silver sponsor you will help cover a big chunk of a state's auction cost and also help push us forward it hopes of adding more states to the auction schedule to help even more kids! 

  • As a thanks to you...As a thanks for being a silver sponsor we will feature your name and/or business name and the logo of your choice on our website and on our Twitter and Facebook pages. 

 

Bronze - $250 

  • How it helps… As a bronze sponsor you help support all of the above by covering general costs of hosting the auctions. 

  • As a thanks to you...As a thanks for being a bronze sponsor we will feature our name and/or business name on our website. 

Not interested in a sponsorship? No worries! We are thankful for donations of any amount to help provide a successful virtual Junior Auction experience for these students who have invested in their livestock projects all year long.
